Overview

Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä was founded durring the late 9th century, by Mpf̄̄ń Vúńó̄sh 'Kira Stunner' Béchīs Goī̄s Vúń Ga̋ńch Yār. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Mpf̄̄ń Vúńó̄sh 'Kira Stunner' Béchīs Goī̄s Vúń Ga̋ńch Yār.

Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive cobblestone streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Astonishigly, the budget focused millitary grade defenses are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

A look around Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. This all rests atop the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä brings to mind.

Points of Interest

Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä was unknowingly built atop something unstable, and now that substrate is crumbling. It may be swampy ground or a decaying coastline, or it could be an ancient buried city that’s now giving way. In the case of some antique habitation, the denizens that once lived there might be boiling upward as their home is collapsing, or new opportunities may be revealed even as the community’s present structure is ruined.

The roads leading into Záwm Nidē̄y Ni̋ēkēä possess a great number of switchbacks. While designed for defense, they mostly wind up pissing everyone trying to take goods to town right the hell off.
